Brothers and sisters, we have some good labor to do. First of all, I challenge each one of you to have at least 30 min of prayer on a daily basis. The Bible tells us "Pray without ceasing." If prayer is something new and some thing you haven't done for a while, I encourage you to pray with brothers and sisters together. In that case, Sunday nights prayers will serve as a good prayer time. Moreover, I also encourage you to pray with your house mates and brothers and sisters near you. Please feel free to email back if you'd like us to pray with you some times.
The program we had for prayer ministry is only a tip of an ice burg. I encourage you to ask God for a passion to pray and go beyond what prayer ministry and offer. This means initial house prayers with your house mates. Asking brothers and sister who lived close to you and to pray together. And I challenge you, to dedicate the most valuable part of you time to God, be it prayer, devotion, or doing outreach. Don't give Him the last 5 min of the day. But give Him the first hour of your morning and honor Him!
And finally, here is a list of the thing you can pray about:
- Pray that God will sanctify you. For it says in the bible, without holiness, no one will see God
- Pray that God will teach you how to pray
- Pray that God will give you strength to persevere and to seek Him daily
- Pray that God will convect of you sin, and show you your hidden sins (and then confess them and repent)
- Pray that God give you a passion to seek Him and long after Him
- Pray for your brothers and sisters around you that they will seek God fervently
- Pray for your local community
- Pray for unity in the body of Christ
- Pray for more people to pray, and for God to bring more workers!
- Pray for the lost and unsaved
Pray without ceasing my brothers and sisters!
