Exams!!!!

Pray that fellow brothers and sisters may boast in Christ and rejoice in Him during this stressful period.
Also:

  • to set aside time for God
  • for strength and to look ahead despite the tough times they may endure; remembering God's grace and the purpose and hope He has given us.

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus

Missions Trip in Taiwan

Please continue to pray for our sister, Julia Chen, as she continues her mission in Taiwan until the end of July.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to open the hearts of the people there, as well as for planting seeds into the hearts of the kids she works with, so that they may experience and understand Christ's love.

Pray for the hundreds on the missions trip that they the Holy Spirit may protect them from the enemy and to serve with humility, unity and love.

May the LORD be praised and glorified in Taiwan, and to the ends of the earth!

Prayer Item

Hey y'all,

Some of you may know I got back from Asia just two weeks ago. I would like to thank you guys for your continued support and prayer. God really worked and protected us during the trip and there is so much that happened! May the seeds planted in Asia continue to grow and be nurtured so that it may sprout and be fruitful in His time! Please continue to pray for the people in 1040 (Asia).

I have a small prayer request for you guys....It probably isn't much. But my heart was hurting the first week back, and has gotten a bit better, but is still beating a bit irregularly and on the fast side :S My doctor said it's nothing to worry about yet, it may be because of my trip, as I had done some whacky stuff and ate things you DON't want to know, so my overall health hasn't been the best. But if you guys can keep me in your prayers, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, and hope to see y'all soon!

God bless!

pray for friends

Hey all,

Today I encourage you all to commit to pray for your friends that they may know God. Only the power of Christ can convict people's hearts to seek the truth.

I have been praying for two friends this month and God has faithfully answered my prayers. I had the opportunity to share Christ to them and to challenge them to seek God. Though they did not believe at that moment, I have faith that God will lead them to the cross for repentance and life.

I don't really know how to follow-up from here. Please pray for me, and for them too. Their names are Carl and Kevin.

Thanks

a note from prayer ministry

This was sent by Li Chen, the leader of prayer ministry for the summer term:

Brothers and sisters, we have some good labor to do. First of all, I challenge each one of you to have at least 30 min of prayer on a daily basis. The Bible tells us "Pray without ceasing." If prayer is something new and some thing you haven't done for a while, I encourage you to pray with brothers and sisters together. In that case, Sunday nights prayers will serve as a good prayer time. Moreover, I also encourage you to pray with your house mates and brothers and sisters near you. Please feel free to email back if you'd like us to pray with you some times.

The program we had for prayer ministry is only a tip of an ice burg. I encourage you to ask God for a passion to pray and go beyond what prayer ministry and offer. This means initial house prayers with your house mates. Asking brothers and sister who lived close to you and to pray together. And I challenge you, to dedicate the most valuable part of you time to God, be it prayer, devotion, or doing outreach. Don't give Him the last 5 min of the day. But give Him the first hour of your morning and honor Him!

And finally, here is a list of the thing you can pray about:
  • Pray that God will sanctify you. For it says in the bible, without holiness, no one will see God
  • Pray that God will teach you how to pray
  • Pray that God will give you strength to persevere and to seek Him daily
  • Pray that God will convect of you sin, and show you your hidden sins (and then confess them and repent)
  • Pray that God give you a passion to seek Him and long after Him
  • Pray for your brothers and sisters around you that they will seek God fervently
  • Pray for your local community
  • Pray for unity in the body of Christ
  • Pray for more people to pray, and for God to bring more workers!
  • Pray for the lost and unsaved

Pray without ceasing my brothers and sisters!

- Li Chen
